World Senior Team Chess Championship 2023

Unfortunately Scotland finished in 21st place with 1 win, 3 draws, and 5 losses.

William finished with 2.5 points from 7 games (1 win, 3 draws, 3 losses) with a performance rating of 1939 (which exceeds his current rating of 1925).

World Senior Team Chess Championship 2023


Club Treasurer William Hulme is currently in North Macedonia with the Scotland Over 50 team.

Scotland went into the event ranked 19th out of the 22 teams. After six rounds they are sitting in 21st position with 1 win, 2 draws and 4 losses.

Round 7 will be played later today and Scotland are up against England 3.

AGM


The club starts back at our usual venue in Stepps Cultural Centre / Primary School with our AGM on THU 5th October @ 7.15pm.

Team Captains should have most of the fixtures for the new season’s league matches by then – so please come along and support your club!

We have booked 2 rooms for most nights this season.

The club runs most Thursday evenings from October through to May.

New players always welcome!
